Apartment Renovation Process
During our first meeting, you tell us your intentions and the goal of a renovation. Whether you need to increase your apartment’s value or refresh your rooms, we consider your ideas and suggest solutions. At the first meeting, we inspect the premises checking the flooring, the walls, the ceilings, and lighting and airflow.
Some renovations can be done without a design plan and based on your needs, available space, and budget. However, if you are planning to remodel, Raw Built Pty Ltd can advise a reliable designer. Based on the complexity of your idea, we finalise the renovation’s plan and take care of communication with body corporate.
When you have a clear plan, we can estimate the cost of your project. You can add new ideas to a project at this stage, and we can discuss material costs. From your initial concept to completion, we estimate the time frame, labour cost and advise on materials and fittings.
Once estimation is complete and you check the project outline and stages, we approve the quote. For your confidence and ability to manage cash flow with loans, we break the cost into progress payments and prepare a contract to sign.
Raw Built Pty Ltd follows a successful, established order for a smooth and quality process from wall demolitions and removal of coatings to electrical and plumbing, followed by plasterboard and painting work with fixtures, window and door installation and flooring. After trimming the space and cleaning up the rubbish, we perform a handover to present your completed project. During the final stage, you check the dwelling according to the plumbing and electrical approval plan and functionality. Completed projects
In this project, we transformed the garage into a third bedroom. A part of the garage was also used to extend the kitchen and laundry. Additionally, we renovated the bathroom, installed a brand new kitchen and laundry closets with custom made concrete countertops. Due to the age of the house, the ceiling was sagging, so we replaced the ceiling with a new new one. We laid new parquet from a 14mm thick board. We levelled a part of the side of the yard to accommodate the four car carport that we designed. We completed landscaping of the yard esteblishing shade resistant lawn, built and painted retaining walls.
Our task was to complete the project in 4 weeks. We had to very carefully observe the schedule, control all procedures in order to deliver the object on time and at a high quality level. Another problem we faced was fire hydrants. We had to work a lot with the certification body to make sure the fire hydrants were properly relocated, adhered to the Australian Building Coad standard, and also matched the studio's design. As a result, we completed all the agreed tasks in 4 weeks, after which the Pilates studio was able to open its doors to visitors.
This showroom present a few interesting challenges for us to overcome. We began with a large square room, which we split into a showroom and warehouse with a 3.5m wall. A unique feature was the hidden door and built-in desks for the office. The entire showroom was complemented by luxurious lighting that emphasised the style and concept of the interior flooring.
Renovating this beautiful apartment in the heart of Brisbane's CBD was an enjoyable process. This project was implemented in conjunction with an experienced interior designer Exult Design. Each detail was meticulously planned, and only the highest quality materials and finishes were used at all stages. As a result, not only was the finished project beautiful aesthetically, but comfortable and functional, with ample storage space and excellent lighting. An issue we faced during the renovation were the noise regulations from the Body Corporate. We were required to finish work earlier in the day due to these regulations, meaning our working hours had to become more streamlined. Delivery and transportation of materials was also a significant issue in an apartment building. We had to ensure that each delivery was planned in advance so that there were no delays to construction. We are especially proud of this project as we were able to reduce the number of air conditioning and ventilation ducts so that they would align with the suspended ceiling, where we didn't want to lose an extra 10mm of clearance. We were also able to conceal fire extinguishers so that they seamlessly integrated into the apartment.
